Fort Worth based manufacturing and distribution company is seeking an IT Business Services Manager.

Will be responsible for developing, scheduling, tracking and managing projects to ensure timely delivery of technology solutions to meet business requirements.  Managers must have the ability and experience to plan and accomplish goals with minimal supervision.  A wide degree of creativity and independent thinking is expected for this position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

•              Research and identify system and business process improvement solutions to help assigned departments meet business goals

•              Create detailed project budgets, plans and manage those plans and projects to completion

•              Document clear and complete detailed business requirements with technical specifications

•              Develop test plans and data conversion strategies

•              Assist with training programs and developing power users for new and enhanced applications

•              Become IT subject matter expert for new systems after implementing

•              Use helpdesk software to document issues and resolutions

•              Lead business department management meetings as it relates to projects, spending, systems, technology, information sharing and/or reporting

•              Provide weekly status on project milestones, alerting business and IT management of any potential delays or issues

•              Other duties may be assigned. Regular attendance is an essential function of this job.

•              Extensive experience with full project life cycle activities, including developing detailed project plans and timelines, managing project resources and costs, providing accurate project status updates and facilitating project closure

Sr. System Engineer (Wintel – Engineer)

Core Responsibilities

Design, and implement virtualization solutions to enhance existing Data Center, Desktop, Cloud strategies.

Develop complete virtualization solutions taking into account sizing, infrastructure, data protection, disaster recovery, and application requirements.

Provide knowledge transfer and training to IT Operations resources

Provide expertise in troubleshooting virtualization and OS performance issues

Create Operational Turnover, Architectural Design and other supporting configuration documentation.

Take a leadership role in defining virtualization strategy

Continue enhancements to virtualization solutions taking into account infrastructure, data protection, high availability, resource management, automation, disaster recovery, and application requirements.

Demonstrate a clear understanding and expertise for deployment of networking technologies in a virtualized environment.

Support deployed server hardware and make recommendations on future growth (HP Blade, Cisco UCS and vBlock)

Effectively communicate solutions architecture to project teams by creating and delivering presentations and/or training.

Provide vendor evaluation and technical reviews and reviews of potential products for their technical performance and capabilities.

Stay up to date on emerging technologies and products, including attaining certifications and participation in industry events as appropriate.

This candidate will lead multiple projects and architect, build, deploy and maintain many of our industry leading business applications.  The candidate must have senior engineering experience with Microsoft Exchange and messaging technologies, possess strong communication skills, and have the desire to learn the complexities of the commercial real estate industry.

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Define complex system requirements and objectives based on business needs and deliver high quality solutions related to web technologies and business systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system service failures by identifying and analyzing the situation and provide corrective actions.
• Develop, install and test new web based and business technologies, software releases, system upgrades,  evaluate and install patches.
• Provide senior level expertise on decisions and priorities regarding systems architecture.

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong systems engineering skills with an emphasis on enterprise scale architecture.
• Strong knowledge of mobile messaging platforms and multiple mobile OS.
• 5 to 7+ years experience of  advanced knowledge in Windows 2003, Office Communications Server, Blackberry, and ActiveSync, preferred Exchange 2010/2007 experience.
• Significant experience in upgrading/migrating Exchange platforms.
• Strong background in windows OS, Microsoft Active Directory service model.
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities effectively.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Powershell 2.0 and vbscript.
